dammit..I knew someone was going to say something like that
Paypal me $500 and i will buy one.
I already have a 3"DP and im in the market for an elbow. Im just trying to find some info about it. I will probably wind up buying a Lipp elbow or something similar.. Unless anyone has a good review about the ebay elbow.

I heard that the surfaces on some are not perfectly flat and need to be machined a little to get a good seal.

Go to the classifieds and search for a suprasport elbow. I did that and found some still available...cheap. I ended buying a different elbow/dp combo for cheaper but you can probably get a suprasport for less than what those ebay elbows are going for.

Actually, just make a WTB thread.

Ive also heard the flanges might not be flat. I know the wideband o2 bung is probably useless because its too close to the turbo and needs to be at least another foot downstream.
I might give one of these a try sometime and make a little review about it.

Go and do some math on the a downpipe + elbow combo... and then just go look for the BIC replica downpipe on ebay... it comes out to like 30-50cheaper... and 935motorsports even sells them now, and they have it for a good price.

By going with the full elbow eliminating downpipe, you get smoother flow, one less gasket to leak, and it looks better.

I had this exact elbow from ebay and installed and ran it for a while. The surfaces are flat but the gaskets are sh*t, you have to get good stock ones for it to seal. The good is that it does flow more and decrease spool time a little. The bad is that it connects the 3" outlet of the elbow to your stock 2.5 inlet on your exaust, and it creates a big restriction. The welds are not bad and the quality is fair to medium. I would suggest after doing the same route to wait and save enough to get a full downpipe, because you won't be happy enough with this. The performance advantage is minimal , maybe 10-15 hp.

So youre saying the outlet of the elbow (where elbow connects to DP) is only 2.5 inches?
If youre saying the stock DP inlet is only 2.5" thats cool because i already have a 3" Dp from eblow-exhaust.

The outlet on the elbow is 3". The inlet on the stock dp is 2.5". If you already have a 3" dp from the stock elbow then I would reccomend this part for you because there would not be a restriction issue and you would find bigger gains.

I bought the Truspeed downpipe/elbow a few years ago. The elbow looks the same as that one on Ebay. Its 3 inch all the way. The flanges were very badly warped, but some time spent on the belt sander fixed it. The Lipp elbow is better quality though.

I would rather buy the Lipp elbow but i might give the ebay a try considering it is 130 shipped while the lipp unit is $200 before shipping and then another $15 for gaskets.

I have seen and tried both lipp and ebay and lipp is worth the extra money, it is just an all around better piece, notice that the ebay elbow has bolts instead of studs for the outlet, that makes installation much harder because of the studs from the turbo to the elbow create clearance issues that take time and a second person helping to overcome. because the lipp elbow is more like stock its ease of installation is better.

I was thinking the bolts were for the elbow-DP and for the o2 sensor to bolt to.

thats what hes saying.. the lipp has Studs on the dp-elbow which make for a much easier install..

I used to have a jlbmk3 elbow and it was a pita with the bolts
