Well if you're profile serves you correctly (That you have a 7M)...
Why bother all the extra work and fabrication only to be making a parallel move? ;)

This isn't a discussion of preference, though. So I'll shut my mouth.

But yes, there are a handful of 350 SBC MKIII's out there.
I've actually seen a couple selling on eBay in the past.

Custom motor mounting, custom transmission crossmember, custom exhaust, custom fuel / timing control, um... that's what I've got off the top of my head :)

one of my friends is doin this with a 400 small block it is pretty easy and alot easier to work on but i think a 7m is what he should have left in the car being that is what came in the car

ANYTHING with a carb doesn't belong in the most technologicly advanced car Toyota made at the time.

Cost wise, they're dead ends (unless you're stuffing a modern LSX series motor in) as the guy with the LT1 Supra found out...

You would think with all the time, energy and money it would take to do this all that you would choose something better than the lt1. Atleast go Ls series with it.

I would agree with poodles that to put something carbed based in, it would just take away from both the personality of the car and the efficiency of what is known to come from the car. To go carb based is somehtign you do when your out of all other options.

Obviously I wouldn't go with a carb, I can get a LS1 pretty easy.

I think its an awesome idea. I love my JZ as much or more than most ppl, but its the last small cid engine I'm going to mess with.

Next project is a tt 540 Merlin.

(Puts on flame suit...again lol)

if you want a v8 then ls1 ftw... but i wouldnt reccomend going carb with a modern car... i know that they make a kit , engine mounts, trans mounts, and radiator mounts, for 280s dont know how much that applies
