i really wanna relocate my coilpacks to a different spot and i'm stumped on where i want to put them. anyone have any ideas. i have 2 sets of plug wires so i got a bunch of long wires..

is there any unforseen problems with relocating the coilpacks??

You can do a couple things.

Make a lil' bracket and mount them to the firewall, you can use the same plug wires, just reversed.

You can get long wires and send the coilpack to where the battery is (if you relocate the battery)

Put the coilpack on the fenderwell near the clutch master cyl w/a little bracket.

Malloy: The HT leads (Plug Leads) shouldn't run alongside the Injector wiring or each other too closely for any distance in case you get crosstalk from them to each other or any other wiring.

I think that's what he's getting at, Mike.

The plug wires will interfere with the injector wires, making odd problems.
Kind of how when you run amp wiring, you always keep the RCA cables as far away from the power cables so you don't get alternator whine through your stereo.

bondango.. do you have pics???

no mate, have been redoing the wiring before i install the FFI and got round to making an L shape bracket to mount on, but the weather has got to cold here to work in the garage so things are on hold. im going to do it like this..

But with the coilpacks being mounted on a bracket attached to the firewall instead of the engine as in that pic

What he is getting at is inducced current-
If you run two cables parrellel to each other and send current down the first cable the second cable will pick up a small charge. It happens more in a AC circuit as the electromagnetic field is generated at each alternating cycle. With the spark plugs if you ran the coil wires alongside the injector wires it might be possible to cause or (worse) cancel an injector from injecting. If you must run the wire near each other best to have them cross at a 90 degree angle.

I know this doesnt help with where to relocate your coils, might help with how to run the wires once you relocate.
