Has anyone successfully integrated a digital dash into a 7M w/ out doing a right hand conversion?

Not yet, I will someday be trying but I don't know how soon, and there is a guy on SF called Knight something who is also trying. I'm still trying to source the digital dash body harness/loom. Also the digital dash must be from a 7M digital dash car, if you are doin a 7m one.

Only problem with the idea is the gluster is shaped correctly for one way only. The steering column hump is to one side for the correct seating position ( rhd or lhd), the vents are also arranged correctly for one side only, and the dash flows with it, so if you put a rhd cluster in a lhd you're most likely gona have to cut the dash to flow with it, or possibly cut the cluster? I was under the assumption that you couldn't cut the digi clusters since it would break it or screw it up. good luck none-the-less!

I had a digital dash when I owned my 87 300zx. I have a feeling that if someone get's the conversion done, they'll regret it. Although I've never owned a Toyota digital dash, my experiance tells me that they are slow in response & are a maintainance nightmare.

Food for thought.

I had a s13 with a digital speedo and digital over head projection... needless to say they both broke. So i converted to analog. The overhead projection onto the windshield was nifty though.
