i was thinking bout porting and polishing my stock intake and exhaust mani and the turbo tubing that draws in air from the intake and pushes air out to the intercooler piping but i don't know if its worth it. has anyone done it? is there any gains? is the gains worth the money?

Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but you arent getting any answers because this is kind of a silly question. Unless of course you are the girl in your avitar - if so I dont know why EVERYBODY isnt answering your question.

The "turbo tubing that draws in air from the intake and pushes air out to the intercooler piping" is a compressor housing; no? Your outlet pipes off your turbo? If there arent any big restrictions to the airflow then you shouldnt worry about it. Surface roughness really isnt a big contributor to airflow restriction. When a head is ported/polished, there are relatively large obstructions to airflow that are cut down and then it is smoothed out.

The only gain from POLISHING your exhaust manifold interior is that carbon wont build on the walls as easily. PORTING it could remove some restrictions if they exist, but I dont think its worth your time.

Relevant information can be found in posts and websites about head porting.
