Sooooo, I am convinced I am immmune to regular energy drinks. Which at 16, I'm sure isn't a good thing.

-RedBull is a joke. Nothing.
-I like Starbucks for the taste, but it also does nothing.
-Same with the DoubleShots by Starbucks.
-Jolt really doesn't do much.
-Redline does nothing.
-Bawls are just a joke.
-Even NyQuil fricking keeps me up at night (dead serious, I can never sleep after I've had that shit.)

So, I'm wondering if there's a good energy drink. I didn't go to sleep last night cuz I was working on homework, and this morning actually fell asleep-out cold-in AP Calc. Oops. Apparently the teacher and some friends took a while to get me up. Iono, tho, I was asleep ;)
So, needless to say on lunch I drove over and grabbed a Starbucks. My usual is an Iced Quad Caramel Macchiato, I bumped it up today to 5 espresso shots and extra caramel. Also, did nothing.
Plus, when parking I was in a bit of a hurry (and prolly part due to lack of sleep) and I let the clutch out simultaneously as I turned the car off, but apparently my foot was a bit faster, and I managed to kill it. The E-brake was on so it didn't hit anything, but it really damaged my pride! Lol.

So yeah, any POWERFUL, EFFECTIVE energy drinks (not anti-sleep pills lol) would be great. What works for you guys?

Want something good? I made this one night and i could only take small shots of it and it would keep me up many an hour. On a side note it does burn a little bit going down but tastes really good.

One part each of the following:

Speedstar berry mix
Rip it Citrus
Vault
Rootbeer(frost top if you can get it)

(I dont drink energy drinks anymore messed with my system to much, all natural sugar and carbs is the way to go , and finish that off with bottle water)

DirtLord, see the non-intoxicating requirement.

SupraSport, homework itself comes very quickly for me. But I had put off reading a book until the night before the 1/2 way summary was due. The Book: Don Quixote. 1/2 way = 450 pages. Plus I had another book summary for the play Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (which sucked btw)
Unfortunately I'm a terrible procrastinator. Yeah, I'm really smart just really lazy.

Drink Review: Wired X294
Posted on 10.08.05 by Widge @ 2:22 am

Review: It takes a lot to really get my attention when it comes to caffeinated beverages. I mean I've consumed more caffeine so far in my lifetime than most people will during their entire span. I am a caffeine achiever.

But when you come out and boast that you've got a drink that has 294mg of caffeine in it, you definitely have my attention. Let me put that in perspective for those of you who don't, like I do, have Energy Fiend's caffeine database committed to memory. It's basically twice what's in a 16 oz. can of Rockstar. Twice your normal cup of coffee. More than twice what's in a Full Throttle. Three times what's in your usual shot of espresso. Almost four times what's in a Red Bull. And more than eight times what's in a can of Coke.

Besides caffeine it also sports 3000mg of Taurine, 160% and 500% of your daily recommended allowance of B12 and B6, respectively.

That's a lot of stats but I just wanted to make it clear: this is not a drink for pansies. If you have no tolerance, you might want to sip slowly--because it is indeed a potent thing. But fine, so it'll put hair on your chest. How does it taste? The taste, frankly, is unremarkable. It tastes like most energy drinks taste: fizzy and a little citrusy. But in the case of being packed with this much fuel, the fact that you can only slightly perceive the taste of the stuff under the engine is what is remarkable. Too much caffeine in one place can make stuff taste wonky, but this has a very low wonk factor. So it's eminently chuggable.

As for its effects? Well, like I said, I've got a high tolerance. I haven't gotten anywhere near overstimulated since the last time the Specialty Coffee Association convention blew through town and I worked the floor for free samples. So your mileage may vary. But for me, it was a very smooth pick-me-up. I felt it behind my eyes first, but at no time did I feel my hair growing: a sure sign that I'm off to the races.

So the verdict is: it's nice, it's smooth, it's reasonably tasty, and it packs a wallop of caffeine. Would I drink it again? Are you kidding? The Wired Energy Drink folks sent two others besides this empty can. I'm going to savor them. Their E-Store is still "Coming Soon" on the site...I'll ask them to give us a headsup when you can go pester them for your own.

seriosly the craziest drink ever.

Yeah, I know. I had it really good last year but senior year and I've just been real busy. Tons of commitments.

But seriously I know its better to get good amounts of sleep and all that. I just need something for days like this to really wake me up.
I usually aim for at least 5.5-6 hours sleep, thats about what I need to function completely normally on, and get it most of the time.

EDIT: Dude I'm gonna go find that drink SandyMan! Lol.
If any of these end up working really great +1 rep for suggestor!

Both the b-12 and the caffeine aspect will not do shit unless you are low on b-12 or are not already "saturated" for lack of a better word with caffeine as i assume you are ( with the double shots and starbucks every morning), as far as the other ingredients i dotn know jack about them, ill look into it, but there are other variables when dealing with lethargy

I have a similar build as you, and was always falling asleep in high school. I would sleep through EVERY class, and this went through 3rd year of university...Tried it all, the caffiene drinks, energy drinks, etc. etc.

I'd slam a redbull before class, and pass out within the first 10 minutes :p

Honestly, the only thing that got me to stay awake after all those years of KO'ing in class is a regular sleeping and exercise pattern. Once you're in a routine things go well.

Oh and 5.5hrs isn't nearly enough man...aim for 8!

It is possible you are low on cortisol as that helps with energy(vigour) in the morning and up to the night, although it does follow a cricadian mapping ( hypothalamus ( iirc SCN)), which you may have all confusaed with your sleeping paterns
