I have recently been interviewed for a job selling insurance to companies. This seems like it would be more presentation based, and business-to-business sales, and will NOT be door to door BS.
They asked when I would be available to start, and of course since I am looking for and NEED a job, I said ASAP.
They said I need to take a class, and then take a state proctored exam to sell insurance in this state. This costs a little money.

I have a question - does anyone here have experience with this type of job? Can you tell me what the good or bad things are about it?

Adjuster? Anyone?

Business insurance is an area being pushed over here at the moment and is getting quite big, quite quick!

If you can truly believe that the businesses you're selling to will be better off with the policy, and you can effectively communicate this, then you should have no problems making sales and being successful. Then again, this also depends on the product and the price.

Selling anything in this market is going to be difficult, however at least you won't be selling something frivolous.
