A meet:

On another note, is anyone putting a get-together together? I know it's winter; but, man we hit right at 60 degrees here yesterday. My new clutch is in, just about broke in, and I'm ready for a little cruise/get together. Nothing 'Official' or big and fancy by any means. Just a little something to break out of the cave for!

Price range: 0 ~ 1k with straight/clean exterior. My 87 interior is cherry so I'm not too worried about that.

Thanks for the links everyone!

Man, that is a sweet looking MK2! My 7MGTE in that would be SCREAMING!!! Hmm... :naughty:

I think that might be a little low for a stright body. I searched for 4-5 months to find a 89+ with a straight body for less then $1500. I found one(current sup) for 1700 low balled him down to 1100 since I that to travel to Chicago to pick it up and push it inside of the semi for the ride home.

The interior missing a few pieces, leather ripped up, and a blowen motor (he thought :evil2:, just had a bad valve). But the body was in GREAT shape, just a little paint fad from Cali. sun.

But keep searching and you might find one. If you like the pre 89 body your chances are much better.

I am in need of another MK3. Preferably one in need of an engine. I want to transfer my wrecked 87 stuff into it. If any of the local NW gang can help with that, just let me know.

If you want to have a post in this section for wanting to buy a car, then I suggest posting a thread in proper section and linking it here. We have a specific for sale/want to buy section. You can leave the rest about the meet.
Speaking of meets, we have a get together tomorrow. :)

Yeah, we'll see. Ya know what I did 2 months ago!? I've been kicking myself ever since. At the time though, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my wrecked one. Anyway, I passed up a complete 89 for $900 bucks and it was only twenty minutes away from me. It supposedly had a BHG. The engine was partly disassembled; but, the rest was complete...AND...pretty stinking clean too!! Oh well... :3d_frown::cry:

Thanks Duane. I didn't want to attract a whole lot of attention on buying a car; but, I went ahead and put a link in the proper section. Hopefully I did it right! :)

Man, I'd love to go; but, not sure about going over there with all the trouble they've been having on the passes!

LOL, actually, you did the opposite. The link should be here from the for sale section. ;) I fixed it, no worries.

Also, the meet is later and I'm sure the news will give an update of things.

Hey Kenny! I posted in your other thread before I finished reading this one. Lol. Mckay might want a little more than 1k. But I did talk to him yesterday and he is up in the air as to whether he is going to keep his car. If your wanting to take the car out for a drive, you can always bring it over here. I have yet to see it.

On your side note: I have been toying with the notion of putting together a cruise/meet to Paradise, Mt. Rainier this summer sometime. I've just been really busy to get anything started. I might start a sticky to see if it generates any interest.

I replied to you in my other thread before I read this one! :D I'll PM him. Did something happen to his car?

Yeah, absolutely! A Paradise run sounds awesome! Count me in!

I should cruise out to see you guys. That'd be fun! Plus, I still need to square up with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
