you want to send more than 12 volts? or are you talking about the constant 12v mod?

I think Dr. J ran a 8, or 10 gauge wire back to his fuel pump, directly off the battery. hooked that upto a relay so the pump only gets power when it should.....

that what you're talkin 'bout?

ok you are already running the walbro so hopefully you are already running the 12v constant mod. so yeah, if you want to rewire with bigger guage wire do what justin says. use the old power wire to switch the relay but make sure you put a fuse on the new power wire near the batt.

i bought the fuel pump relay kit from summit and it came with a bunch of 12gauge wire. i think the wire kit that came with my walbro was 14 or 16 gauge. so 8 - 10 gauge might be overkill. 12 should be fine.

there's a good thread on SF that jonzey posted in as well. i have it bookmarked, but SF is down for now. i'll post it up later.

hte 12v mod is super easy. just pull the plug for the resistor (two wire plug) on the passenger inner fenderwell, and place a piece of wire in the body side of the connector. i just cut the connector off and soldered the wires together, because i never plan on selling the car. :)
