Anyone ever installed factory Recaro seats in their Supra???

A friend of mine has a set of Recaro seats in his Honda that came from a "JDM" Honda. They look pretty decent... I was wondering if I would be able to install them with a bracket from Recaro??? Is it that simple to do, or would I have to do some chop, cut, and weld job on them???

I know those bolt in without a problem or modification... Those are hard to come by in "Good" condition... and their not that cheap. So i was wondering if there was a way around this... Maybe buying some corrado (using as an example) seats that were recaro, and buying the bracket to bolt it in the supra???

Couldn't you pull apart a couple of junker Supra passenger seats and use the sliders and frames off of them? That way you wouldn't have to deal with too much custom...just weld or bolt them to the seats, after pulling off the old hardware?

Good idea... or just remove the brackets and frame on the supra seats i have now instead of going to the junkyards. You think that'll work though? I'd have to go and measure the seats n etc...

I was just thinking passenger's seats so you don't have to deal with the motors and shit...they are pretty straitforward iirc, I have a spare passengers seat as I put the ttr Recaros in mine...I'll have a look when I get home to see how hard it would be to remove the h'ware. gl.

If you wanted to install some from a honda, you're going to have to do something about the sliders, and the seat belt, as the seat belt holster is attached to the seat. Unless you can get the honda seats for <$200, it would likely be worth it to just find the Supra Recaro seats.
