how did they shoe horn the 7m into that car??. That is actually a pretty clean install. Almost seems like the motor is supposed to go there.

i'd luv to know what was the reasoning behind that. if he was after reliability then why not put in a VG30(300zx motor)? it's been done many times and has been proven to be a good swap. VG's can take alot of abuse. i know a few ppl that beet the piss out of them regularly and are doin just fine. i haven't heard stories of VG's leakin the way i've heard 7M's do. i may just be misimformed but, from what i know (however little that may be) that swap wasn't the most practical thing to do.
that right there for me is the best of 2 things, 240 aftermarket support and the legendary 7M engine all into one package, I wonder too the reasoning behind it... probably the challenge?
What is wrong with putting a 7M in a 240sx. Low milage JDM 7M's can be had for little money, and there very easy to mod. I have heard the VG engines having just as many problems as the 7M's. You know the same kids that get ahold of them and run low oil, and 20psi on 87 octane. Its nice to see a 240 with some balls, rather then putting in that little overrated SR20, or a (hard to work on) V6.
i'm with MRSUPRA, anyone on here ever try to work on a VG series engine??? try removing the exhaust!! also my friend has had his '89 low milage 300ZX blow a HG twice!!.....in a matter of less than a year from purchase not HG to HG. it is currentlly being 'entirly' rebuilt and turbo'd
i like the idea of a 7M in a silvia......BUT.....i would go RB if i were a nissan man. but i'm not so i will dream or everything from paseo to SC340 with a 7M[truth be told if i bought a Lexus i'd prolly go for a 2JZ.....but my heart is with the 7

SR20 is nice but IHO, yes, over rated. i mean i've been eaten by them before....one's with 10-15 thousand dollars spent on them.

7Ms do not have a problem with hg's after you install a metal headgasket and arps torqued down right. if all the prep work to the surfaces are done correct...

This was on sale a while ago with different pictures. Looks like the guy who bought it is reselling for more maybe?
I would still love to do a 1JZ in an s13 or s14, I just might one day. I dont know if you guys have ever driven a 240sx, but man they are fun, even my brothers stock 240 without lsd, is so easy to toss around. So light, if only supras were that light.
