Okay - got a wierd situation here.
Place i'm staying at has ADSL (Reach Extended), only 512kbps, but better than dialup. Problem is, for the last 9 weeks, theres been no sync on the line. Sync occasionally appears for maybe 30 seconds at a time but then drops out again. However, if you call someone (or loopback to the other phone line in the house), then syncs up no problem and is stable. Problem is, you cant call people every time you want to send emails or browse for stuff.
Also, calling the other phone line in the house (like a loopback) results in the outgoing phone dialling, but the incoming phone wont ring. Same if you ring the secondary phone from elsewhere, it'll ring on the outgoing phone, but the incoming wont pick up.
Is this a wiring problem in the house, a problem with the splitters/filters in the house or a problem with the DSLAM/Exchange/Wiring on the telephone pole?
It's wierd
