Ive been poking around with my car for a month now. it was doing this before. I replaced the Head gasket now the headgasket was replaced all water Hoses also replaced. Head was taken to the shop , and tested perfectly fine. it was surfaced the valves were cleaned up and my head was re installed on my car . after putting it back together it didnt run any better. it was working perfectly fine then it started idling weird and and its come to this. There isnt any holes on the pistons and the engine smoothly rotates. Ive replaced the distributor, and the Coil ive checked all my wires for spark. and ive checked timing . Heres a Video of what the car does it also shows the timing , that the car is making spark, pictures of the distributor harness before i fixed it up thinking that might have been it. also that the fuel injectors are clicking , maybe you guys can see something in it im not.

the exhaust isnt hooked up after the headers well not bolted but the piping is connected . and how would it be a rod knock. it has plenty of oil and all pistons move up and down smoothly , along with the engine rotating perfectly fine. it doesnt make this noise when you crank it over and distributor isnt connected ..

Could be the exhaust making it sound like rod knock. But if the motor is knocking its prolly from the rods. If the hg was blown and coolant into the oil and ran the bearings are prolly toast.

Use a stethoscope or a long screw driver and with the engine running listen on the block.

well the head gasket didnt actually blow. or atleast i was never sure due to the crappy compression tester. and that engine was rebuilt a year ago with brand new sealed power bearings and it ran like a dream until one day the engine idled badly at stops but when you took off it was fine then at 45 mph it just cut off and it wouldnt start back up. I tried to diagnose it . and i thought it wasnt making compression on the last two cylinders. so i replaced the head gasket. and after rebuilding it my thought was . maybe there was coolant in the oil or . oil in my coolant. i drained my oil out. and it was perfectly fine nothing . i also checked the coolant reservoir and nothing there either. then i decided to flush the radiator and i didnt see anything there either.
