I got one of these for x-mas, my first ever ipod. It broke a few days later and i just got my replacement last week :)

Sometimes i find myself surfing the web on the touch. Pretty neat stuff

What programs are you guys running, im looking for software, but just dont know what im looking for yet,so im curious to see what others have on theirs.

I wish i could stream from other sites besides youtube.If theres another site that i can stream from lmk

I own an iPod Touch 16Gig, have had it forever it seems like. I love it.
Most of the Apps Apple offers are garbage, the most useful one I have is mobile banking from Bank of America.

I vote jailbreak it man, you can do all sorts of stuff after that.

I also just picked up an 2G 8gig iPhone just the other day from a friend for cheap, hacked it to work with my T-Mobile service.

If you feel like hacking your Touch, hit me up I can help you with it.

Also, any other questions about it let me know.

As for streaming, Youtube is the only site I have tried on the Touch, but I will research some more, as you have peaked my interest.

I know you can stream files over your network to the Touch, if you set it up for it, but with the limited HD space it proves sorta useless.

To me the touch is not worth jailbreaking, but the the iPhone is a little more worth it, seeing as how you have to jailbreak it to use it with other carriers than cingular and at&t.


It just depends what you want out of your Touch. If you want more options, customization, and networking. Jailbreak it, if not don't.

I got a 32gb one back around thanksgiving, it seems to be pretty cool, I store all my music to listen to in my car on that instead of CDs which is cool. I also downloaded that dynolicious app to see if it actually worked. I haven't given it a try yet to tell you the truth, but i read an article that says its time and speed estimates are pretty accurate, but its horsepower estimate is a bit off, which I expected, after all its not a real dyno...

All it is is an G-force meter turned into a accelerometer... lol

i <3 my ipod touch why you ask? not because it has good features for applications and the fact that i can store music on it. no not that at all. infact the reason why i love it is because its so durable. now you ask how can something be so durable when its this thin? well....i stupidly once put this thing in the washer AND the dryer WHILE it was on. accidently mind you....and it still plays to this day a month later no problems what so ever not even one missing or corrupted file on the SSD :eek:

However when I did have it I used the dynolicious program and it was only 2hp off of what I actually put down on a dyno, so take it for what it's worth.

I have a first gen touch with a bad screen, jailbroke it a few times with a few different OS options and had some fun but it wore off quickly. Though putting a pokemon rom on it helped me get through my internship this summer. :p

Now I've moved on to my droid, use my touch solely for music in my car. I don't know how my gf feels about that, considering she bought it for me. I know she's mad about the screen still not having been fixed. :p
