I've been in the market for a new Electronic Boost Controller and Turbo Timer for some time. I was just going to hold off on a turbo timer for now and go with a Blitz SBC Type R due to it's ease of use and dual selenoid. However, I just came across this.

Is this something recently released, or has this been around awhile?
The features seem nice and the price is right, but I'm completely unfamiliar with it. How well does it hold boost? How easy is it to tune?

Any opinions would greatly be appreciated.

never heard of them but it sounds pretty cool. that doesn't mean anything. for the price I wouldn't buy one unless someone had actually used it before.

I did a little more research on it. Talked to the company as well as HorsePower Freaks. HPF has them for $265. They say they sell alot of them, but have no hands-on experience.

The unit is alot smaller than I thought. From the pics it looked to be almost DIN sized, which I liked. Turns out it's only 4" x 1.5", the size of your standard turbo timer. They advertise that is has one of the smallest selenoids, which I dont' necessarily see as a good thing. The PIT can hold just over 25psi and has a hi lo boost setting. The PIT tech told me to set the boost is like setting it with the AVCR. You have to set the desired boost level, and them mess with the gains until it is achieved. Screw that. That's one the main reasons I no longer have an AVCR.

hottscennessey, I hear ya. All I hear about Blitz is how easy they are to use and how they have little to no boost spike. 2 things that I'm beginning to think the PIT will have issue with. I'm leaning towards their newer Spec R, (since it uses the tried and true Dual Selenoid and is good for 35psi), I just don't feel like dishing out $500 at the moment. Anyone on the forums want to sell me theirs?
