So my stock ass cressy 7mge auto actually kept up with him? lol

My car with my mods, when I raced the 350z I thought he wasn't racing so I let off but he passed me with a little flyby.

Maybe he was WOT, maybe he wasn't..

I ran against one when I was at stock boost levels with my 7mgte (88, wingless, no tools, no spare tire, no a/c components in engine bay) and we were side by side. I barely started pulling on him on the top end before we both let off. Both cars were WOT.

Unless that 350z was having mechanical issues, I have a feeling he was toying around with you.

i raced one with headers/CAI in my tank of a 89 targa... put 2 car lengths on him... enough for the twin turbo 350z and blown ls1 to slip through and leave us in the dust

(40 roll)
only mod on my car was DDP (8psi)

I see them at the dragstrip all the time running mid 15's.

I was at the dyno and a potential customer (pricing a turbo install) was asking how they did. The dyno operator (Mustang Dyno) said they were consistent at about 210 rwhp. So yeah, they are not exactly burners.

Since I own both an '88 7MGE and an '04 350Z, I can say the 350Z is quite a bit quicker than the Supra. It has more power and it weighs a few hundred pounds less. Both of my cars have manual transmissions. Of course, even if the 350Z is faster, the driver may not know how to use it. My Supra handles better, though.

I know a kid with one, he launches harder than anyone, and he's doing it with snow tires (year round)
He beats Honda's and such but me and a gti catch up and smoke him. I'm installing launch control because of him haha

like I said... 350z w/ full exhaust and a high-flow filter lost 2 cars to me by 120mph I had ~500lbs more and just a downpipe :nono: and yes, he knew how to drive, he didn't miss a shift and we both hit our gears as fast as we could engage them (from a roll too, so there was no real factor of reaction time or who could launch better)

but that 350z w/ twin evo turbos was GONE o_O I think he threw a rod a couple weeks later though

It's Not Important Bro
From 2003 to 2004 the 350Z went from 287 BHP to around 300 BHP and stayed there until the 370Z hit the street, so pick your poision carefully.

The 2012 370Z, on the other hand is around 335 BHP. If you choose to tangle with the 370, best to have your 20+ year old heap running correctly prior to negotiations.

i test drove a 370 when they came out... although the car is lighter than it's predecessor (by a hair) and has more power... it's not really impressive... I could just BARELY notice the increased power... if you didn't see the numbers on paper, you might have never known it had more power TBH...

I've beat one of these too.
