I'm at a point where I have more money than time (though moneys still limited of course). Its been years since I've taken my car to a performance shop and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good shops that specialize in MKIII's that are close to the Tacoma, Washington area? I need tuning, possible repairs, and I am looking at either getting a 5spd swapped in or maybe a performance build or at least support work done on my auto. I've been working 14hr days and don't have time to do the work that I know how to do, or the knowledge to do other stuff that needs done. Anyone know of a good place? Even a good backyard mechanic?

Thanks

Hi there,

I've got a great mechanic over in the Wenatchee area that I've used for major tuneup work. He used to race at the track and has a great reputation with some of the old school track racers in town. He did own MKIII at one time and did a great job on my 1990 MKIII turbo. Look for Gustavo at Ray's German Auto. He mostly works on Benz's and Beemers but works on Toyota cars when asked.
