Hey guys, soon I'll have an Al driveshaft in my car and obviously I'm going to run a driveshaft loop incase something takes a turn for the worst. I was wondering which one you guys run and if there is any one that is better then the rest (lighter, better fit, etc) or if I should be fine just getting one out of Summit or something. Thanks!

Summit. I would imagine that the one they are selling as their own is as good as any other. There's not much to them no matter who makes them. I really need to order/install one myself.

id buy a mkiii piece if its built nice and beefy like the mk4 one i saw somewhere. it would bolt right up where the center support bearing is and act like a brace for the tranny tunnel. untill then, i will be using the cheap one from summit.

Not a bad idea. Probably won't happen though as there are already so many places that make them....or are you referring to a MKIII specific loop? ...that may work....

talking about MKIII supra specific. Something that basically bolts into where the old center carrier bearing in the OEM drive shaft bolts to :)

It is slightly off topic - do the cars with CF DS require driveshaft loop? I remember reading long time ago in SCC if CF DS fails it falls into straw-like pieces without danger of lifting car off the ground. After last year incident with broken CF DS on Duane's car I decided to keep at least stock cross bar under my DS
