I've been running 101 LL Airplane fuel in my car because of the insane gas lines around here. There is no line there and it is much much better fuel(the only thing you can get here is regular 87 octane at the moment.). I have no cats, and I'm not concerned with the 02 sensors because I have plenty of spares. I have been putting in a bottle of lucas fuel system treatment with each tank because of the upper cylinder lubricants in it. I've heard that the avgas has less lubricant additives in it. It seems to run great in it and smoothed out my idle a lot, but I'm concerned as to wether or not there will be any long term effects to running this stuff in my 7m. Any input on this is welcome.

um...... avgas is called 101LL..... that stands for low lead. If you have a turbo car you do not have to run more timing to take advantage of the extra octane. You can turn a knob on a boost controller and take advantage of the octane much much easier....

I don't have any problems with sooty exhaust. The stuff seems to clean the carbon off the combustion chambers and piston faces as well.....
