On my 87 7MGTE automatic harness there's a small 3 pin plug with only one wire going through it at the junction behind the glovebox where all the body plugs are. This plug connects between the engine harness and the body harness It's got one light green/red wire with red dots on it.

What is that wire for? The plugs on the other end in the engine bay was cut off so I have no idea what that wire is for. I can't find it in the wiring diagram... I accounted for all the LG-R wires that are pictured in the diagram... this one just isn't in there. It comes out of the engine side of the harness right near the AFM and coolant sensor plugs.

Yes that did help. It's the wire for the A/C temp sensor switch.... which is only on the GTE (and may only be on automatic GTE models if I understand the TSRM correctly). It wasn't in the wiring diagram I was using. I had to look at the 90' diagram. It's a little 1 inch long thing on the diagram between the sensor and the A/C amplifier.

Since I'm not using the A/C, and not installing the A/C fan... I don't need it.
