Another "What is this gasket" thread <SOLVED>

I'm just about to start reassembly on my BHG ('90 Turbo)...that's been apart way too long. This rubber gasket came with my top-end gasket kit from Toyota. I'm at a loss as to where it goes. :icon_redf

Any ideas?

It looks like the gasket that goes on the back side of the front timing cover (says 7MGTE on it). If you've never looked close enough you wouldn't even know there is one there.

I just went and looked at my pile of parts in the back of my car...you are right on the money! Thank You

I didn't know what it was either until I notice the gasket on the front timing cover. Your old one will most likely come out in pieces.
