Just wondering if anyone know this. Probably not, or at least not exactly.

Anyways, how much horsepower do you gain with a ct26, for each extra pound of boost you run? i was thinking maybe 5-7 hp per lb of boost but thats just a guess. Any ideas? It would help if someone dynoed with 8 lbs and then with higher boost, and we could divide the total hp gain with the number of lbs added.

hey i got another question, can i run 10-12 lbs of boost on the stock fuel system? i plan on getting an FCD but dont have the money for a new fuel pump/injectors. Is the easiest way to boost higher to shim the wastegate or add a boost controller?

yes, you can run 12psi on the stock fuel system, but it won't hurt to buy a drop-in walbro 255 to replace the 10+ year old fuel pump. And like i said in the other thread - you might hit fuel cut (it's anywhere from 10 - 12psi) so just turn down the boost a bit if you have a boost controller.

shimming would be the easiest way if you don't want to spend money for reliable electronic boost control. you can also hit up Dr.Jonez (a member here), and possibly buy one of his quality manual boost controllers. hth.

edit: oh yeah, and to avoid asking multiple questions about the same topic - USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION IN THE UPPER RIGHT! :D these topics have been beaten to death.

edit2: and don't waste your money on a fcd of any type. they suck, simply put. fuel cut is a good thing!
