Last year I was collateral damage in a head-on collision and totaled my 1jz supra. got a whopping 1500 bucks for the car... obviously I kept the car. The build for the car can be found here http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?123400-89-1jz-swap.

I recently bought a new supra with a good body, clean title, and a blown head gasket among other problems to swap over my 1jz and mods. So, here is that build.

I plan on rebuilding the 7m-gte that came with the car and getting it running while I prep the 1jz. Since I live in California, smog is a problem. But since I have two engines... no problem :)

Here's some pics of where I'm at:

Won't be automatic for long.

Rough start, but the interior and suspension is coming out of my other car and into this one. Body is pretty good shape, and of course I'll be painting it.

After the 7m has been rebuilt. New over-sized pistons, rebuilt head and new internals.

Fell in love with this color after I painted a sand rail

Here's the rail

That's it for the moment. I just got a new wiring harness for the engine. Looking for a rebuilt turbo or I'll have this one rebuilt.

Once I get the engine smogged, it's coming back out and it's going into my blue supra that's crashed.

For those who haven't seen the other car:

fah, fah away
This makes me regret not painting my block.. Looks nice man. I do like the blue. With blue spark plug wires, vac hose kit, and blue filter that should set it off nicely.

When it came back from the engine builders, they did a crappy job of painting the block. It was already assembled and I didn't want to waste time masking, so I just brushed it with por15. That stuff takes several days to dry, so it laid out pretty flat. Looks good.
