Yes friends we must all take a moment of silence for another 7MGTE BHG! :cry: I cant say that I am too upset because I really wanted a reason to rebuild and clean up the engine bay hehe. And I did it at the drag strip and shut it down right after it happened. My father and his Red 89 stock MK3 was also there and he is excited and wants to help with the rebuild (this means I will get some $$$ help too!) So do not worry! This WILL NOT become a parts car! We will rebuild it. It will be better then before. So wish me luck - I will be doing some of the tear down. I will have to be extra nice to Idealsupra so he will put it together for me. I also plan to change from manual to automatic while I’m at it! I know most people like to go the other way but I am an old drag racer at heart and would like to build this to be a solid fun car that I can take to the track every so often. This just happened tonight, but I am looking to see if anyone wants to trade a 5speed for an automatic. Everything works perfectly with the 5 speed. The prev owner told me it had a Fidanza flywheel . I can not verify that he was not telling me that just to sell the car but we will know when its out. Anyway, I hope to get some support for the re-build. It may be a slow one. I will have to save some cash for some upgrades along the way (bigger turbo and other goodies) I am also going to clean the engine bay and Im thinking of getting it coated with LineX . I want some advice/info on this. I saw an engine bay with this coating it looked really nice. And my car is black so it would go nicely I think.??
