Yes, So, After fixing my little problem with the coolant lines for the ISC and TB, and putting new o-rings on the PS pump fitting, I started up my 1989 JDM 7MGTE/R154 in a 1988 USDM 7MGE/A340E chassis. It idled like crap. It idled so bad, that it would die. It never dieseled when it died, and when I gave it some gas, it sounded somewhat like it should. On the EGR side of the car, it sounds like theres a huge leak, so I tried spraying, I couldnt find any leaks. So I checked every vacuum line, the PCV, ISC, and TB; sprayed everything. All in proper order. I don't have the throttle cable connected to the TB yet, and I don't know if this would effect the idling or not. The only thing I havent checked yet, is the Timing, but it idles so bad, I don't think It'll live long enough for me to check it. Also my Girlfriends dad pointed out something to me, could the EGR Diaphragm be stuck open/shut?
Some details: I used an A/T ECU, Bypassed the EGR VSV, Bypassed the BVSV, Brand new wire harness for an 89 Turbo/MT, I havent filled up the transmission yet, but keep the clutch out the whole time while the engine is running. The fuel tank is half full and the fuel is 7 Months old, and I put some injector cleaner in it. (I don't know if any of these details make a difference, but I'm at a loss here...)
Any advice? Even if it's totally obvious, it would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
