another hg...?

got a worrisome head gasket. so far i'm not showing symptoms like low coolant, a mobil 1 milkshake or rapid temp spikes.

however, i do get some white smoke on startup. looks almost like condensation, though. how white is the white smoke, is it like a freaking cloud coming out? can someone describe how sweet it would smell?

and as for a waterfall sound behind the dash, i get it a lot during intermittent use of the heater (happens when the heater is off). is this just air in the heater core or is it the dreaded waterfall?

Check for coolant leaks first.

It wasn't really sweet whe nI smelled it, not sweet in the sense anwyay. It's not cgona smell like candy is what I mean It spells like something wierd, you'll know it's not oil, and not gas, so it just this "other" thing. Is it just on startup?

I dont know but if i was you i wouldn't be driving that thing around until people told you what it might be and you get it fixed.

you probably wouldnt, but ive put almost 10k miles on this since ive gotten it and its still fine. besides, if i blow it itll be an excuse to go turbo!

as for coolant leaks, JAV, none whatsoever. all tanks are staying full.
and as far as i know, the smoke is only on startup (condensation, probably) but i've never been driving behind myself so i couldnt tell you fo sho.
