Simple Stock or HKS? I have both, not convinced the machining was good enough, not planning on hitting 350 hp anytime soon, but not sure about durability of MR. OEM. Looked around but not sure on the answer for this. Thanks

As long as you aren't concerned with the possiblity of tearing it apart again, for lower power goals I'd suggest the OEM.

On the other hand, I put in my HKS on a rougher surface than suggested by using the Permetex brake quiet spray on the gasket, it's been fine so far.

Seems to be pretty much a hit and miss situation, picking one over the other.

i am also having much luck with the permatex brake quiet on my completely un-prepped block. (no, i dont recommend doing that). however, my head was machined very well, i used a razor blade on the block, made it super clean, and relatively shiny.

coated my cometic MHG with permatex, slapped that shizzle together (cut off the rivet) boosting 15psi no problems. :)
