3 words: Permatex Spray Gasket. Coat both sides, allow to get tacky, lay on the block then lay head ontop. It's cool cuz it's red, so you can easily see the areas you sprayed.

the stocker and arp's dont blow for no reason, throwing another gasket on without fixing the problem is not going to help you!

what hes implying is that you need to get the block and head checked/milled for flatness ALWAYS before you do a MHG

I hope you don't mind wasting the money you will spend on you MHG, when you have not corrected the problem, or said you will.

A BHG is a symptom of another problem.

wow! i was hoping i didnt have to state the obvious. certainly the block and head will be checked and machined.. give me some credit here. lol what i dont get is what actually went wrong. the last time i had the head machined the shop said it was warped badly. so they baked it ran a finishing cut and did the rest of the valvetrain . they also said another head i brought in ( tryin to avoid the baking) was trash. that "trashed" was then checked by another machinist and he gave it the thumbs up and its been runnin in a engine that is raced quite often so.. i dunno maybe the machine shop fucked up.. cause i did the gasket personally and even though ive never done a h.g. on a 7m i have done many on other vehicles. i took my time cleanin the deck and checking with a straight edge. also did the spray on the gasket and torqued the arps to 75 with the molly

Seems like max warp is ".0039. More than that and you are to disgard the head. The metal headgaskets are there to take up the void left from decking. OEM gasket, you must follow the discard the numbers in the repair manual for head and block. Or you will blow it again. I don't mean you personally, anybody that does it.

Mazz: You need to strip the old coating totally before using a spray on sealer.
thank you. i was lookin for an answer like that. i know how to deal with the head.. should i use anything else besides the "spray"(mopar gasket sealant/brake quiet) to coat the gasket ?
