just like to introduce myself , im Martin , live in southern suburbs of Perth i have a bit of a obsession with jz series motors. and i know my cars arent supra .. but o spose they could be called cousin's as they run drivelines
a few years back i had one of the 1st converted 1jz hilux's which i loved and miss greatly.
since those times i havent really been driving anything special as such ( xr6 turbo ute)
earlier in 2008 , i got the jz bug back and went on search for a jzx90 mark2
i found what i wanted all the way in qld so i flew over there to make the purchase and have a holiday.
factory manual/torsen jzx90 with coilovers, and few other bits and pieces
very happy with my purchase. i convinced my missus to sell her runabout and i bought her a cressida mx83 1jz convert , which we used as a daily for a while until i decided i want something safer and with a/c (as i got sea sick from the terrible susp setup) . didnt take long to spot a low km auto jzx90 mark2 locally at a bargain price so i snatched it up.
it did have a gearbox problem and wasnt going back to 1st gear for taking off. also the motor had a bigend rattle at only 110,000kms
so i sourced a eng/gbox package and swapped it all over , now she/we have a nice daily runabout.
that isnt where my collection stops somehow ive ended up with a few mark2 wrecks . im surprised how many people are crashing these .. i have 3x jzx90 mark2 wrecks out the back of my house ( so if anyone needs parts pretty dam good chance i got it !!! )
i also have a r/c obsession , and one of my cars is the same as my full scale
i also got some nicer wheels for my manual 90 which im really happy with .

and now , im getting ready for 2jzgte swap .. just test fitted motor to one of my manual wreck's to see if everything fits etc .. and its looking good .
just need to sort out a few things with turbo's as im running 2 front turbos with own wastegates . and separating the log style manifold into halves so 1 turbo has 3 cyclinders and other turbo has the other 3 cyclinders .. true twin turbo style ! same as a 1jz setup.
i got the old 1jz out and took the loom off and fitted it to the 2jzgte engine package , also got the turbos modiyed to be true twin turbo .. got rid of all the seq valves and junk.
basically the rear turbo needed a sleeve made to cover up a hole , and also a hole drilled for the wastegate ( still confused how it works , but it has a wastegate bleed hole and flap after the turbine ?? weird .) also i separated the log style manifold into 2x 3 outlet manifolds. all this to acheive true twin turbo the same as a 1jz. each turbo has 3 cyclinders and its own wastegate.

i rang him , he didnt wanna know about modifying it .. so i have a machinest mate that done the job for me. ( if anyone else wants this mod done to your turbo , pm me )
