so whats up you guys, my name is freddy and im some what new here.

anyways, i rencently had my block rebuild and put everything back together and it took a while to get it a bit right but when ever i start it it takes a good min to start and when it does it dies a couple seconds later. it does that like twice, then i start it again and it stays on so im just wondering what could be the issue?

ive replace the fpr,fuel filter,cold start(wiring looks fine),fuel pump,fuel pump relay and afm.(i have a parts car.lol)

and when i got my spark plugs i didnt check the gap cause they were pregapped, they.
could ungapped spark plugs cause this?

any help would greatly appreciated.

It does it when ever I turn it on for the first timeand I'd say it's been going on for about two weeks.

And yes I have I only got code 22, which temp sensor.

You think it could be the ecu?

Well I think you just answered your own question. Here's a hint. What is the coolant temperature assumed by the ECU when the sensor is bad?

I don't really know the answer to this-
I would presume that the ecu assumes a high temp, thus disabling the cold start injector, making cold starts somewhat lean.

What 3p said. However the cold start injector doesn't work quite the way you're thinking. While the ECU does provide a supplemental ground to it the CSI operates as an autonomous system, one that doesn't operate once the key has been released from start.

Hey you guys I have another question.

The code I'm getting is 22 but there is several sensors in the water neck and the thermostat housing so my question is which one would I need to check up on?

I thought the ECU assumed cold when the sensor failed though. Glad I read this thread.

I don't know what tsrm is and thanks guy.
I was messing with the one on top of the water neck, no wonder code didn't go away.
What is that one for any ways? since I don't see it on the pics.
