On a car old as this...yep. You'll have to get a Toyota hose cause of the bend where it attaches to the head...unless you can find a 3/4" hose at the parts store with the bend and long enough to reach the HCV. It's not too bad to replace...kinda tight around the head.

But, I hope the head fitting is not corroded too badly...if it is, getting it out in one piece and replacing the big banjo fitting it holds to the head IS a royal PITA.

Mine split in half on the dyno; and that one costs a pretty penny from the stealership; approx. 50 $

You will want to order it from Jeff Watson as I'm sure he will be able to get you a much better price.

And it isn't very hard to replace, I think the only hard part is leaning so far over the car causing your back to hurt.

Also, make sure that the engine isn't hot (rofl, stupid hose had to burst on the dyno :( )

i remember that hose blowing on me, along with the heater control valve attached to it. radiator fluid spewing everywhere, steaming as it leaked. good times haha. not that hard to replace, but just be thankful its not the valve, thats a pretty penny from the dealership and they are rare. took a few days for it to get here.

wel i ordered mine today... 67.50 CDN :wtc:. i figure minor investment for a hose that lasts 17+ years w/o breaking. Man i hope i didn't warp my head when it overheated...

There isn't a really good reason to get it from the dealer. I bought one with a 90 degree bend from Autozone and trimmed off what I didn't need. Been working great for 5 years now...can't remember the price, but it was less than $10 USD, I believe.
