So since my buddy cant post yet he told me to start this thread for him.

Last week we are searching for supras...we come across an 86.5 5spd supra...
Buddy emails the guy.
Says yeah im interested in the car just need more info on it.
Guy answers back and says...yeah its and 86.5 with a turbo motor and it wont start for some reason.
So we go to buy it today.............

We get there, look at the engine bay and I decide to take the accordiang hose off to look at the turbo....its either a 57 trim or 60 trim :icon_bigg:icon_bigg

The motor looks like its been taken care of very well. So basicaly we spend maybe 45 mins working on electrical stuff and find out the CPS is screwed. Good thing we brought mine with us :icon_razz
So we got it running....open downpipe is sick BTW. It has a loud ass Blitz BOV.

My buddy noticed when he hit a good bump that the car turned off...we got home and tried to figure out what it was. The code check brought up something about the exhaust temp sensor. So I reset the ECU and we took it for a drive. It worked fine until we hit a fairly good bump again and it died. We bump started it as it was coasting and it fired up again. We drove it home to park it for the night. This is where the fun stuff really started :icon_bigg......

I look in the back seat to see the lower cover for the glovebox sitting there, so I reach under and feel wires...the car almost dies...I look at the floor board on the passenger side and realize why I had less leg room that I should have..
The carpet is raised... We pull back the carpet to find this goody

So we are friggin excited now...
We dig deaper to find this..

Now we are thinking this is a dream.

(oh, one of the wires came off the HKS computer and we re-attatched it and now the car wont start)

Anyways...We are now looking into what has been done to the motor internaly. The car was built at "Autoshop Cannonball - Drift Specialists" in Vancouver. So if anyone knows the car and can help that would be great.

Here are the pics...

looks good though, but ditch that FCD, probably does more harm than good..

Lol I'm not aloud to say the price. We will have to wait till he can post and see what he says.
Yeah thats what I've told him. We might get rid of it tonight. Wil it screw anything up when we take it out??

On a side note I never under stood why pep are so afraid of sharing what they gave for a car. Either they WAY over payed for it and don't want to get flamed, or they stole it.

From what I've seen of Cannonball's work, I'd go over the electrical connections for everything they added *very* carefully. I'd also look for screw holes in the dash, a-pillar, and roof. A compression check on that engine would be a damn fine idea, let you know whether that FCD has already caused some issues that you'll need to deal with.

I'm not saying they are complete goons or anything, just that they don't seem to build with the idea of keeping a car for very long. Crimp connectors, zipties, and electrical tape work fine if you plan on putting the car into a wall within a year or two anyway.

We already went throught the wiring and soldered everything right away.
There is screw holes in the dash from the boost guage unfortunately.
There will probably be a compression test in the next couple days.

Since this isnt my car I'll shutup now lol
