yea its pretty much a straight up swap, i always suggest a new oil pump when u drop your "unknown"milage jdm in for peace of mind.Save your oil pan just incase.
It'll all depend on what car the donor heart comes from. When they pull them, it is possible that theyll sell it as a 7mge, not a 7mge from a cressida. So there is a chance youll get a cressida engine. In that case, an oil pan replacement would need to be carried out.
7MGE in Japan only came in the Cressida, which is front sump.
Therefore, if any of you got a "JDM" 7MGE that is rear sump, then it's not JDM!

speaking of oil pans...., mine is leaking on my 91 supra. Can I just replace the seal and be good to go, or do I need an entire oil pan and the seals??? thanks.

yeah man, just replace your gasket. If it is leaking and its not from around the seal then you would probably need a new oil pan. But if it isnt from a seal you should also be able to see a gash in the pan.
With JDM 7mge's they all came from cressida's so yes you do have to change the oil pans out. You dont, however, have to change the intake manifolds. The motors are the exact same from the oil pan up.

Also, to clarify, there is no oil pan "seal" or "gasket". There is simply RTV. FIPG from Toyota works best.
