I just got my new harness and some of the plugs don't seem right...

This is the igniter plug

And then this thing... I have no idea what it goes to

And suggestions? Thoughts? Ideas?

is that an A70 (supra 1jz) harness? The 2nd plug, the white one, looks like a knock sensor plug to me. They are under the lower intake manifold, and a real pita to get to.

That's not the igniter plug. Possible auto trans.

Looks like the oil level sensor plug on the upper pan.
For sure not a knock sensor plug.

Intake side of the wiring harness. Down below sort of.

1/2jz ignition is sequential. 6 wires in and 6 out for one plug then the other is for power. And the white one is a noise filter. Should have a group with 3 connectors like your igniter.

Do have a picture of the whole harness played out ?

Reason I ask is it would make it easy for me and others to point out plugs by highlighting them in the photo for you.

Lyle, That is the park/neutral position switch connector that you're trying to plug into the igniter. Your igniter connectors are down inside the car by the ECU. You will have a 12 pin, a 4 pin, and a light gray 2 pin connector, which will plug into the 3 spots on you igniter bracket. The small white single pin connector is your oil pressure switch for your gauge. This sensor is located on the block behind your A/C compressor.
