Ok guys, first post here, new to the Supra's.

I got this free 88 non-Turbo, 5 speed. Odo says 200k miles. Timing belt cover has a sticker saying the belt was changed at 70k.

The car runs and drives great, now that I fixed a few things and did a normal tune-up.

I passed emissions, barely. Its running rich, but within the limits (see below). The car also has a real hard time starting and smells like gas when I try to start it when the motor is already hot. When it does actually start after 30 minutes or so, its real burbly like its running rich. It will also only start with the throttle wide open. It has no problem starting when its cold, even on a real hot day. All of this makes me think its always in a cold start mode.

EMISSIONS RESULTS according to Colorado Air Care:
HC GPM: 2.9863 limit of 3.0000
CO GPM: 19.8583 limit of 20.0000
CO2 GPM: 390.7614
NOx GPM 0.8684 limit of 6.0000

Is there a way to lean it out a bit, or check to see if its running a cold start program? I am not getting a check engine light, so I have not checked any codes.

Let me know what you guys think.

Great site BTW, looking forward to spending more time here.

Also I think

The ECU temp sensor, or circuit, could have a problem.

You can simply unplug the wire to the cold start injector. This will disable it. Perhaps it is getting current when its not supposed to.

An 02 sensor has alot to do with fuel mixture. It may be operating, but not very well. You are running way rich by the CO #.

Run some injector cleaner thru the gas tank. Try Lucas, or Techron.:biglaugh:

Yep, what he said. He is in cold start mode.

His cold start injector could be running due to the time switch also.
