ok well this all started happening when the smog guy redlined my car, i notice that on the way home my car was running on 9v. at first i thought it was the brushes so i changed them to new ones, but still the alternator wasent charging the battery then replaced the rectifire in the alternator couse not 1 of the 4 ports had any ohms to the +, so replaced it with one off a 88 nonturbo, but same thing so put back the old one, and still no charging, since i have the fuse box in the dash i have to run the alternator wire threw the old heater core port, i found that the wire was melted on the egr pipe so fixed that, and found that the 15a engine fuse was blow so replaced it and now it charges at 14 then after like a 30 sec it goes to 13.8 and stayes ther. and still after around 1 min you cant even touch the alternator, its way to hot. and when i put volt meter to the body of the alternator and the ground on the chasi i get 0.07v is this normal?
i know that alternators get hot, well becouse thay make power but it never got this hot before.
this is were im stuck and have tested alot of stuff, this is were i need help.
