Alternator fuse????

Set up:
1JZGTE MKIII(87)

there is a loop fuse (alternator i think) that has burnt itself to a crisp and the car has no power now!
I used a thinner wire and connected the two sides and the car barely made it home but now the fuse port is melted...

What can i do to repair it???
Please help????:1zhelp:

It looked like a looped wire connecting the two sides:aigo:

Are you talking about the 100amp alternator fuse? You aren't going to be able to "safely" fix that fuse. I'm not sure where to get one. I've looked at Advance and Autozone and they don't have them that big. Might have to go to Toyota or a junkyard to get one.

Yeah thats the fuse!!!

I just rigged up a pep boys ford 18 gauge fuse wire, with heat shrink and every thing lookin legit:naughty:

But i know i need the actual Toyota one asap!!!

This rigged one works for now though:biglaugh:

I have a few spare harnesses where I can pull it from if you REALLY need one and have not found it. It is a SERIOUS PITA for me to make it to the post office during the week, so if you can find it elsewhere, do that 1st, since it may take awhile for me to get it to you.
