Alternator bearings

I've had really good luck taking a sample into a local bearing supply place. So far they've had literally everything on the shelf somewhere when I go it.

Assuming, of course, that you are willing to tear apart your alternator before you have replacements in hand... :)

Thanx GJ. I usually do the same but was hoping to get some before I tore it down. Thought someone might know the numbers off hand but I suppose most just replace the alt. I may do that anyway but I've always had better luck rebuilding them myself.

At least the brushes on the Supra's alt are very easy to change. For those who've never done it don't let it go because once the brushes are shot the slip rings will be destroyed. Not to mention it'll strand you somewhere.
