Can someone check on all data and see if the JBL amplifier on a 2003 Toyota Camry grounds through the Headunit itself?
There is obviously a ground in the harness for the headunit, but I want to know if the amplifier has a ground pin in the harness as well.
Reason: I went to install an aftermarket head unit but when the factory JBL amp is turned on without the factory headunit installed, there's a low hum through the speakers. The ONLY thing I can conclude is that the amp grounds through the headunit itself. (the iso brackets on the hu bolt to a good ground source)
I wanted to see if there were any diagrams that backed up my theory. And which pin I need to ground.
Thanks!
