Well, after taking my car to the shop that did the head gasket (after it started making that aweful knocking sound that would come and go, that developed AFTER the HG job)... It turns out the crank pully was a little loose, and the anti-vibration thing was pooched, so it was wobbling, it shook the car quite a bit since I got it (just kinda figured it was part of the car).. well tightened it up (loctited it), knocking is now gone, car is vibration free.. you can rev to like 6,500rpm and it's smooth as glass throughout  .... ahh that's what an inline 6 is supposed to feel like! Anyways, car's running great, has a bit of valve noise, but shimming the valves should cure that! (read below)

On another note... I first took my car to toyota (before RPM, the shop that actually did it) after deciding it was time to get a grip and realise my hg was blown... well I told toyota that I think my hg is blown, and my valve cover gaskets are leaking... so they had the whole top end of the motor torn down basically to do the valve cover gaskets, and all they needed to do was take the head bolts off to check the head gasket while they where there. Well I get back and they say, no, your headgasket is fine, since you dont have oil in your coolant or coolant in your oil. Well the bill came to $800 at toyota without the hg even checked, just plugs/wires/valve cover gaskets... So I said f*ck it with toyota and went to the shop that had rebuilt my motor already 8 years ago w/ the previous owner... yup, head gasket blown... $1800 later at RPM to do the hg, machine head, intake/exhaust gaskets, and a few various cooling hoses...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways, point is, I call toyota back and talk to the manager and told them how unhappy I am with them telling me my hg was fine blah blah blah... anyways, I ended up getting $400 credit at toyota for work... well... that should cover most of the valve shim job :icon_razz ....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Breakdown: Toyota screwed me over --> Yelled at manager --> Got $400 credit --> Pay for most of my valve shim job!

PS sorry for the long post!

sure is! So hopefully most of that credit from toyota will cover the valve shim job.... and after that time to start doing some little mods to the car!

2.5" exhast coming from headers (don't know what kind yet)
intake hard pipe from 935 Motorsports and K&N FIPK intake
Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs on Bilstein shocks front/rear (or maybe coilovers)
Cusco Front & Rear Strut bars
Wilwood 13" brake kit w/ Dynalite 4 piston calipers and 2 piece slotted rotors
Stiffer valve springs and bigger cam
18x8" wheels.. dont know what kind yet..
Fresh paint & Tinted windows

Then maybe down the road go NA->T... I have an LSD so only worry would be my non mhg and my clutch

hmmm... anything else I should do? Basically I want a clean look, agressive stance, nice sound, and mild performance gains....
