alignment of oil pump?

So while inspecting and changing the timing belt, I find the oil pump puley has a mark on it, painted on. Just to satisfy my curiosity, does the oil pump need to be aligned in anyway? Or does it not matter?

To my knowledge, no. It's not timed to anything, it just spinny-spinny.

it probably has the mark on it as a check mark for being torqued down to spec so they dont have to recheck all the bolts.
