dont know the reasoning behind it, but i suppose coilovers are meant to take track abuse and are therefore height adjustable; air ride suspension might just be designed to raise/lower car at the owner's whim?

I thought they were trying to get air ride so it could be set up for racing and whatnot? As mentioned it can be fully adjustable like coilovers. Not saying I would put it on my car, just saying there is more to the technology than lowriders.

It was Acroth and he just was using small air cylinders. Air bags have come a long ways, and yes they do make performance air bags that handle and adjust like coilovers.

I think that it will require some fabrication on your part, but I would say go for it, just don't half ass it, go all out and do it right. Go out on the web and start doing your research, you're not going to find the answers you want here.

Dammit! You're right. I get all the yellow guys confused... except Suze.

It was the Kaze kit that reminded me.

If they really make air cylinders that handle just as well as coilovers, then I'm definitely intrigued...

i read an article where they installed air-ride type bags for racing on a subaru WRX... worked well, offered instant switching to track mode and a relatively stock feel in the touring mode... kinda expensive and a bit heavy for the pump but... awesome for someone wanting track and street suspension and no under-fender spring rate changes.

i could go look for the manufacturer's name if you are interested. i'd have to find the mag though...
