Hey guys, i searched and found alot! But,

Is an a/f ratio gauge pointless? I heard that it doesn't work as it should.

I was gonna use this, a SAFC and wideband to keep a watch on the fuel system.

Would i be wasting a few bucks?

see i beg to differ...i have mine connected directly to the oxgen sensor and it works right along with my wideband for the most part...its ok if you use it just to monitor...BUT DO NOT USE IT TO TUNE AT ALL!!!!!

Gotcha, i was reading about it earlier and people were tuning with it. NOT a good idea.

I see the lights and I feel like dancin....:runaway:

Not a lot of use if you can't tune...or monitor HOW rich or HOW lean. Especially when you can install a wideband w/ readout/gauge in the cockpit...complete waste of $$$ you could spend toward that wideband IMO.

But, if it gives ya that warm fuzzy...dance on dude ;)
(especially after seeing your AVTR...lol)

Not to hijack this tread, but what about Depi a/f gauge? Its not a light show type, its a analog type that taps into the engine harness by the ecu.

Same thing...you need a wideband to get accurate AFR readings.
