K&N sells the adapter and filter for like 160 I believe. Its pretty nice. I dont believe aem sells a kit for a mk3 either. I may be wrong so dont quote....lol. But I never could find one, thats why I went with K&N.

Can't find any evidence of an AEM adapter for our afm's. The Apexi filter and intake works very well in both the flow and filtration department. Avoid the oiled filters as gaboon said, as well as the older style hks foam filters as they filter very poorly. The newer hks foam filters I haven't heard much about yet though.

Ok thanks guys,i think imma go ahead and buy the adapter and give the aem air filter a shot, coz 160 dollars sounds alot of an air intake system

IMO you're wasting your time with tracking down the adapter and filters. Just buy the Apexi intake. It comes with an adapter, and it's washable so you never have to replace it.

Totally worth the $120

ill put my two cents in, i completely totally root for the aem, i use them on every car i own and theyre the best dang filters for the buck ive ever seen, around here you can get them from advanced auto for about 50 for the smaller one and about 60 for the big diesel truck ones, which is what i run and its amazing, gave my NA more pep than ever before, the turbo didtn see a huge diff from that and the clean cheap ass filter but i now know that its cleaner than ever lol

Apex'i is NOT washable. It can be blown out from the inside with air though.

Also, air filters take a lot to clog up and stop flowing, looking dirty and actually blocking flow are two totally seperate things...
