So question why can I not use a maf adapter to put a cone filter on my car?

Any how I have don't this and by doing this my cars Turbo has become louder and now its blowing off a lot louder but the car has lost tons of power so is this related to putting on a cone filter using a adapter plate for the maf? Or just dumb luck?

Note: the adapter plate said for 86-92 non-turbo models but since my stock stuff is all cracked I had no choice. It seemed to seal right it may be alittle smaller on the inside since its circular shape and not square but hardley any steeled correctly along outside edges. I did have to drill holes to get the bolts to line up and fit...

If this is the problem can u point me to a way of putting a cone filter on my maf.

the maf are different from turbo to na, which i see you discovered and modded to fit. you will notice its a litter louder as it doesnt have the stock airbox to limit the "intake hiss". as for bov being louder i dont really see it unless you go to either the vpc or maft and vent to air rather than recirc. recircing is should sound the same
