air conditioner!!

i have an 89 supra and so does my mom, her a/c doesnt work.found out there was no a/c belt,i fixed that and the previous owner also said it needed a new climate control unit.he wasnt a mechanic and didnt seem like someone i would go by.i started to check things out,so i found a loose connector and couldnt find anywhere to connect it,i will post a pic tomorrow.im not sure climate control unit is the issue.

so my question is how can i know if the climate control unit is bad? and where would be a good place to start lookin for the problem?

i also checked all fuses,and that loose had 7 wires going to it.im hoping that is the problem.:1zhelp:

Climate control is probably fine. Put it in your car and try it, it will take 10 minutes max.

Check to see if the pump clicks on, i think you need to have enough freon to kick it on.

The only reason to remove the ac belt would be if the compressor is locked up.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

the compessor locking up is something i thought about, but the thing with the climate control is it doest kick the fan on or the heat, all it does is move the vents(servos) in the dash. so i think either the a/c stuff isnt get any readings because the climate control isnt sending any signals or the signal is blocked(loose connecter maybe,lol) so ill check that and see
