Hi guys

Please help me out.
We have just installed ac in my 7mgte ,we filled it up and it is not working because of some electrical problem.

I am not an expert in electrics so my friend will go deep into it and he will fix it for me .The only problem that I don't have the two small cooling fans and here in Hungary we can't find any.

Without those i am afraid that it will overheat so please help me out.

My questions are:

What are the size of those small 2?
Can I put in some aftermarket ones ?
Is the big one enough,or I have to solve and put this 2 in also, otherwise I will have problems?

If you can help me out it would be really great...
Thanks a lot

1)they're 5inches(12.5cm) across, the holes are about 14cm
2)You could take off the the main fan and shroud and use two electric fans from small 80's toyota cars like corolla, camry, maybe cressida. Buy a thermostatic switch and wire it to the fuse box. They wont come on exactly with the A/C, but it will work fine. You could buy two switches and set one for a/c and one for radiator.
3)If you can find any fan that will fit and is 12VDC, then you just need to make the bracket

Redacted per Title 18 USC Section 798
I wouldn't sweat not having them too much. They're not supposed to come on with the AC. They're only there in case high side pressure goes above 220 psi or coolant temp goes above 212 F. I can't recall the last time mine ran.

Thanks for helping me guys...

Another option came up...
What do you think if we put beside the clutch fan , where the 2 holes are 1 mid-size electronic fan instead of the 2 small ones ,
We can order the stock 2 from factory but it would cost 1000 USD here and I think it is :aigo:

So I can get a mid size electric fan for like 15 USD and we rebuild the place so it can fit ,and it can be even operated from inside ...

What do you think about this?:naughty:

Electric fans to replace the mechanical fans?

My advise. Don't. Keep the mechanical fan. Electricals will never ever ever pull as much air as the stock mechanical setup. Especially the hokie Fal 330/340 which are really not that powerful.

If electrical fans are what you want, go with the biggest and most flow you can afford.

Like the FAL 480 or the FAL 295.

NO NO
The main big mechanical clutch fan stays...It works like a dream with my new fan clutch(i hope to say it good)
We just put an electrical mid size beside that...
So both will work...Only I think the smaller electrical one will able to be operated from inside also...:naughty:

ahh ok

well you can do what the newer 89-92 supras did. Put a pusher fan infront of the A/C condensor. This one came on with the A/C and not the two tiny ones on the side. Even though they are small, those fan are actually quite the air movers and would be ideal to be controlled by the A/C :)

I dont know what shipping would be but I am guessing you can get the small twin fans from a member here for a good price something like $20 or less plus shipping..... Hell I might even be selling my small twin fans from my 89T. I first need to run my intercooler piping and once in I think I am going to only have room for the single small fan from a 87-88 supra.

If you know anybody who sells them or even if you think you would sell it for me , that would be great...:naughty:

I checked on this forum a few sell post in that section and there wasn't any...
Still searching until that point I will run the big stock one and beside that I will put a mid size electrical in (-will only come up with AC)

Thanks for your help...
