Ah Sh%t....no spark

well after changing my whole engine setup, I tried to start, and I've got no spark.

Brand new harness, everything is plugged in. New coil pack ground. Good Block and chassis grounds

Tach doesn't move when starting. CPS is working properly. Tried three ignitors, and two different ECU's. IGN fuse is not blown.

Any ideas?

Oh yeah, coil packs are fine.

hmmm maybe look everything over again on wires? seems you got everything covered that contributes to spark...

I checked connections at the cps, the ignitor, the ecu, and the coil packs.... three times

try a different ecu if you think you have everything else wired right.

Is your ignitor grounded?

The coil pack ground is not really a ground, it's a drain wire. At least that's what it looks like to me.

does the ignitor have to be grounded.... I don't think it is.... I'll check that as I've relocated it.

Its just been hard to figure out, because I've changed so much. turbos, done alternate routing for the harness, battery relocation, Relocated all engine bay electronics, FFIM....and so on.

where did you mount the ignitor? is it bolted down to metal? Bare metal?

bolted down to metal, but its got three layers of dupont chromabase over it....lol

ok, and have you checked all the rest of your grounds? I think there is a white black or brown ground strap to the intake manifold, and some others. I don't have a 7m anymore

There's several wires that ground to the intake manifold.

why dont you check to make sure you didnt plug your injector resistor in to the wrong plug.

Hal....you asshole. I told u that on the phone earlier.

Turned out there is a relay and the injector resistor that share the same plug. The way my engine bay is set up, the two are very close together. I accidentally plugged them in wrong.
