I was wondering if I need a different rail to run low imp injectors on my JDM 2JZ. I know that I need a resistor pack from the 7MGTE. I guess along with that question, what about injector clips. . . I kinda don't know what they look like or care what they are unless I some how need them to run RC or other injectors.

Anyway, thanks and cheers,

JAgo

SARD sells high imp side feed injectors which will fit right in and you won't need the resistor pack. I have the 800cc's from them.

Someone please confirm if the stock 2jzgte rail is side feed, I'm not 100% sure on that.

They come with the clips, you only need to replace them as the stock clips don't fit these injectors.
Clips btw are the plugs for the wiring.

SARD = Denso.

And yes, they make up to 800cc high impedance injectors that will drop into the 2JZ rail. I have a set of 800cc Densos too. Awesome injectors :)

Yes, 2JZ-GTE is side-feed, just like the 1JZ. And yes, the JDM 2JZ uses high-impedance injectors.

wow, those injectors are reasonably priced. i may have to get some. but is 800cc a little much for 500 hp? but i guess there is plenty of room for more power later on.

Not really, they're good for 640whp at 80%. 500whp will give you a 63% duty cycle......

I wouldn't try 800cc injectors with a basic piggyback, map-ecu2 is the only one I would try them on but if it was me, I would use a standalone for that.

Good point, cutting that much fuel would screw up your timing.

I'm looking into a new fuel setup right now, would dual walbros, AFPR and 650s be safe for 500-550 on race gas?

EDIT
There are SARD 650cc injectors from an ebay store for $540 shipped.

650's will yeild 520whp @ 80% duty cycle, and the dual walbro's are a good idea. I'm looking for a second pump myself.

A little off topic, but didn't you just recently pick up a new turbo setup?

It was about a year ago. I've been driving it for about 7 months now & I love it. It's a 62mm 60-1 with a .58 rear housing. Spools up rather quickly for it's size, and packs a good punch too.

What injectors are plug and play for the stock 2jz fuel rail, without
having to cut the wires for the new plugs! Just drop in...

With a single walbro 255,can I get to 600 whp? I think is risky isn't it...

If you're going for 600whp+, I recommend you look into top feed rail + injectors, or modify the stock 1J rail to accept dual feed.

You may run into fueling issues at high RPM with the stock single feed rail, no matter what size injectors you decide to use for that goal.

I have a 2jzgte engine from Aristo...but I think it's the same,or not?
Are their fuel rales limited equal?

I plan to, but would you do a dual -> single feed, then split it again at the FPR?

Okay, I've done some research and despite them being ifish 550s USDMs are what I am going with. big high imp injectors sounds sloppy rich. I'll just have them tested and what not. I am only shooting for something between 400-500 hp on a T60-1 w/.58 housing on a cast mani. So I think that I should be fine. I hate when "the optimum setup syndrome" bites me. Thanks for the imput guys.

Glad the thread became useful for other to hash out there plans as well.

Cheers,

Jago

thanks jacob for the good read and since you mentioned it lets continue the topic, sort of -

So lets say stock injectors for 2JZ Aristo and mkiv supra turbo fuel pump. T67 turbo....

whats reasonable and reliable max power expectation on the setup? Can that make 450-460rwhp on pump gas -- Is 2nd fuel pump or afpr going to be necessary?

Somewhere around 300-350whp. You are going to need bigger injectors.

For 450 whp you don't need a fuel rail, fuel pump(assuming you have a walbro or a mk4 pump) or an AFPR ,but you are near their limit!
They are limited to about 480-490 whp.

BUT for 450 whp, the 440cc high impedance injectors from JDM 2JZGTE
Aristo or Supra are not enough. You'll need something like 620cc for 100%
safety on fuel issues.
