I got sick of the stock gauges, the oil pressure gauge was horrible and the boost gauge doesn't start reading boost way after you've hit max. So I bought some 52mm Prosports and went to work. I figured everyone would like to see the pics, maybe it'll help the guys that want to do it.
First, I dremeled the back of the shroud off. Then glued in the visors that came with the gauges, then sanded and painted it flat black. Make sure you have them positioned fairly well before you glue them in, one thing I forgot to do. They sit slightly cocked in the cluster, which made the cluster a little hard to get to back in the car.

Then started putting the gauges in.

You'll have to cut out the back of the cluster. One thing I would recommend is to get the smallest gauges you can. If you get long ones like this you have to chop up the center heat vent in the dash.

And some custom wiring, make sure to leave the little light for the battery as it's part of the charging circuit.

And the finished product before it went in.

They could have used a little more sanding and the holes in the epoxy filled in. Overall, I think it turned out alright.
I still need to take some pictures of them in the car.

The only thing I don´t like is the fact that you can quite obviously see that you did some grinding on the cluster.

I like RonR´s version a lot! However, as of today I don´t know which kind of gauge he actually put in... :(

Not to shabby, go for the temp gauge while you got it out:thumbup:

And I would make to where you like it, or else your not gonna take you eyes off the flaws.
